Irene Davis

The Treasury is after all my brain child and creative outlet. But there are actually two of me – Irene Davis and Baroness, Mistress Eirny Thorvaldsdottir, OL.

Irene took a very long time and many decades to realize that being an artist is really NOT a sin, and that she could both make a living doing art and enjoy herself, too. She has an M.A. in Anthropology with a specialization in Archaeology, several years of training as a jeweler and about twelve years experience creating lampwork beads.

Eirny is a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. She was born of imagination – an early Icelandic persona, the daughter of a jeweler/trader who took over her father’s business and became a jeweler/trader herself. She was an artist

from the beginning – making clothing, jewelry and dress accessories as a part of her everyday life. The Treasury is the result of her desire to promote the creation and use of archaeologically accurate glass beads and jewelery.
